I
was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or
their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely;
their children will be blessed. Psalm 37: 25,26
Last week several families came to us in their time of need; we were only
able to serve them enough food for one night. It is always painful for me
when I see people hungry. I can relate to their pain of hunger.
One lady cried as she told us of her circumstances that brought her to her
present state. She hadn’t eaten for two days. She said if somebody had told
her she would be in this position she would have called them a liar. We
served her the best we could. That night we received a call from some
students who served with us last summer. While Pastor Joe and I were at an
event saying farewell to our AIA team, some of the students from Irvin
called to say they had arrived at our home they present us with a SUV full
of food. We also received a call that same day from the Pastor of
Westchester First Baptist to tell us they would be picking up food for our
pantry Sunday. Sunday afternoon while we were serving our Church and the
homeless they brought us provision.
We would like to thank our friends from Camarillo, Cypress, Westchester, and
our local community for marching with us, proclaiming the name of Jesus
Christ and taking back our city. Pastor
Joe and Gwynn Browne
