S.A.Y. Yes! Youth Development

Two weeks ago, Erica and I with Pastor Joe sat down and strategized how we can get through to the kids in our S.A.Y. Yes! Center. It seems as though the plan is working. It is working so well I was saying to Pastor Joe I don’t want the kids to be sooo…quiet. It was very unusual having them sitting quietly doing their homework and responding to direction. We thank the Lord for His wisdom, love and compassion.

What do you get when you mix an architect, a college professor, college students , Kids’ Club and friends – You have a fabulous fall hike with Mr. Bud  a Tamescal Canyon Park . Professor Gary and Pepperdine students made great walking companions. We are look forward to returning in the Spring to compare the differences in God’s creation.

We are still praying that God will move on your hearts to come along side of us and work with our youth. The negative tend of the city, the wounded heart of our youth can only be changed when people of God see the need to help those who are less fortunate. Our kids are in that category. The statistics of them successfully graduating high school in preparation for college is very low. We cannot and should not live with the acceptance of these statistics. You can make a difference by helping our kids to realize there is more in life than what they have. Please stand with us. Your prayers support, physically and financially is greatly needed. Please get involved.

Thanksgiving Day Celebration

Our Thanksgiving Day Celebration brochures are in the mail. If you are not on our mailing list, you can go to our website: www.ficmla.com and obtain the brochure information.

Our desire is to bring the presence of Christ to those who are broken in these areas. We hope to provide food and entertainment and ultimately share the gospel which is so essential for the healing of the heart and uplifting the soul.

We welcome your support and participation. Our greatest need, along with finances is physical help during the day on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving for the food preparations.

There Is Still A Need For:

Things happen that may make us feel helpless but we are never hopeless. There is great power in prayer. What a privilege to interact with the Creator of all concerning all. The possibilities are limitless through earnest prayer that seeks God's perfect will; continual prayer that never gives up; prayer that believes the answer is coming.

Prayer Request:

Our college student, Rebecca from Wisconsin asks you to join her in prayer as she seeks answers from God during these next 3 weeks.

Trusting God,

Pastor Joe and Gwynn Browne
