About 11 years ago, God sent Pastor Brett from Cypress EV Free to work with us. He has been faithful to the call. The people in our community love him for his words of encouragement and support to them in their moments of pain.

A year ago, Rosalie and her family were passing by our church. She stopped in to inquire and Gwynn shared with her the things we are seeking to accomplish. By God’s grace, she and her family have received the Lord and have been faithful in coming. She is now participates in our choir and her children participate in S.A.Y. Yes!, Kid’s Club and Sunday School.

Last Sunday, brought Pastor Brett and Rosalie’s family came full circle. The Cypress Church invited Faith in Christ Ministries to participate in a special worship service. Three members of Rosalie’s family were baptized.

Kay Carcamo, the daughter of one of our earliest members is the very first from her family wanting to be baptized (coming from a Catholic upbringing). Kay shared at the Cypress service how dealing with the pain of a son being incarcerated has been bearable because of the support of her church family, Pastor Browne, Pastor Brett  and the Lord.

Last Sunday  evening’s joint service, the baptisms, Rosalie’s commitment to the church and her desire to grow in her faith, being blessed with Susan Searey and Ismae Smart  makes these 27 years worth it! We praise God for His grace and mercy. We thank Him for this precious fruit.

AND, we thank CJ for being the art instructor for our S.A.Y. Yes! program and we are excited Yohanna, our youngest daughter  has begun meeting with our teen girls on a weekly basis.
